I write poetry and creative nonfiction, and my work explores themes of memory, loss, place, embodiment, and our relationship to the natural world. I return again and again to small moments that offer joy and remind us what it feels like to be deeply present—of what it means to be, as I write in a poem about cherry blossoms, “fragile and aching, bared into the air, the wind’s pitch.”
